Katya Isk



is a multidisciplinary designer pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, with minors in UX/UI and History of Art, and serves as President of AIGA Pratt. Her practice includes branding, publication, environmental and experience design. She is focused on exploring the relationship between space and people through visual communication and spatial storytelling.

7: MTA Exploration


Description
An experiential space exploring romantic relationships through the symbolism of a hanger, inspired by my partner. A relationship, like a hanger, provides support, stability, and a place for something meaningful to belong. Using the hanger as a metaphor, the space transforms an ordinary object into a physical expression of connection.

Visitors receive an invitation in the form of a dry-cleaning bag. Upon entering, they encounter mirrors reminiscent of fashion stores, introducing the relationship between clothing, identity and connection.
WAIT: ANTICIPATION

Two sculptural chairs invite the couple to pause and share a moment over coffee. This intimate setting recreates the anticipation of a first date, establishing a moment of connection before 
the experience unfolds.
