Katya Isk



is a multidisciplinary designer pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design at Pratt Institute, with minors in UX/UI and History of Art, and serves as President of AIGA Pratt. Her practice includes branding, publication, environmental and experience design. She is focused on exploring the relationship between space and people through visual communication and spatial storytelling.

Some Abstract Matter


Description

An experiential space exploring romantic relationships through the symbolism of a hanger, inspired by my partner. A relationship, like a hanger, provides support, stability, and a place for something meaningful to belong. Using the hanger as a metaphor, the space transforms an ordinary object into a physical expression of connection.

Description

A conceptual project that transforms acrylic into a system for preserving and accessing memories through a physical artifact in a narrative space. Centered around an encoded acrylic key, the experience turns memories into tangible objects that can be stored and revisited, exploring how physical interactions can preserve intangible experiences,  inspired by the experience economy.

A visual identity created for the independently organized TEDxYouth@TashkentIntlSchool event around the theme Limitless . The identity translated the theme across the campus environment through a cohesive system of promotional materials, building anticipation and a recognizable presence leading up to the event.

7: MTA Exploration


Description

A photographic publication documenting NYC’s 7 Train, often referred to as the “International Express.” Combining photography with fragments of overheard dialogue, the project explores the languages, routines, and shifting environments connected by a single subway line. The work functions both as a reading-order book and as a set of unbound posters.

Second Skin


Description

Conceptual photography book that explores identity through clothing as a second skin—an evolving language shaped by performance, memory, and comfort.  A sequenced series of styled images captures looks tied to specific moments in time, with vertical running headers anchoring each one to its corresponding memory.
